Women today are better educated and are in better positions to save for retirement. However, while women are contributing to household finances, they are not adequately prepared for retirement. Clearly, finding a balance between working, family, and saving for retirement proves to be difficult for women as family responsibilities primarily fall on women. Women take breaks in careers to raise families and may only work part time which affects their earnings and access to workplace benefits.
